Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, and identify corrective actions.
Conduct and supervise facility and site inspections, job hazard analyses, and other evaluations to identify hazards and potential risks.-
Oversee necessary safety protocols, including site safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and the reporting and logging of construction man-hours.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements of local governing bodies regarding a safe working environment, waste management, and construction safety management.
Monitor the safety performance of all contractors, ensuring all work adheres to safety requirements.
Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment, as well as worker productivity and safety in construction.
Prevent hazards and maintain safety practices for all personnel on the job site and neighboring areas.
Monitor construction site activities, organize them into logical steps, and budget the time required to meet established deadlines.
Manage mobilization for efficiency, including the proper layout of staging areas, trailers, and related logistics.
Attend pre-construction and construction meetings.
Conduct post-accident investigations and recommend changes in equipment, processes, or other safety-related issues to correct unsafe conditions.
Manage and oversee the proper implementation of the approved EHS plan from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Ensure sufficient waste management controls are implemented on-site as required by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Fulfill responsibilities in other areas of action as required from time to time.
Coordinate effectively with all Project Managers, Designers, Commercial Managers, and other Quantity Surveyors (QS) for tasks to be accomplished by the QS Team.
Lead the Project QS Team in all required tasks.
Strategize, monitor, and scrutinize the work of the Project QS Team.
Prepare necessary commercial reports.
Prepare cost plans at various stages.
Represent the QS Team in the absence of the Commercial Manager.
Report and closely coordinate with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager, and Designer on QS-related concerns.
Prepare cost databases for all trades.
Supervise and manage the Project QS Teams in all aspects.
Review plans and specifications, and address design-related queries for the completion of cost estimates.
Perform quantity take-offs as required by the Project QS Team.
Prepare bills of quantities.
Evaluate billings, contractors’ proposals, change orders, and other construction-related claims.
Conduct site visits and reconcile evaluated proposals and billings as necessary.
Prepare cost estimates for project cost evaluation and comparison.
Complete evaluations of commercial bids.
Update the material and equipment cost database quarterly.
Coordinate with Site Managers, Engineers, Consultants, and Suppliers.
Perform other related duties and functions as assigned by the company.
